The Workshop

Working with poets to self-publish their craft in hand-bound editions

Homely Poetry

  • Commissioned by Homely Poetry, this project captures the essence of a space where poetry is raw, unfiltered, and unapologetically honest. Hosted at Ram Jam, Homely Poetry has become a home for voices that speak freely—whether tender or X-rated, confessional or untamed.

Well Books worked closely with Homely Poetry to bring this debut collection to print, preserving the energy of the live nights in a carefully designed publication. From editorial selection to book design and production, this project honours spoken word in its most visceral form—now bound and ready to be held.

The First Edition was released at Well Books Fair on March 7th, this collection is a printed archive of voices that have left their mark on the mic.

BLOSSOM - Ham Youth

  • Commissioned by Ham House (National Trust), this project brought together poets from Ham Youth Club to explore the themes of Blossom and Spring. Through their collected works, we created a beautifully crafted book that captures the essence of their words in a natural and elegant design. Produced in a limited print run, the book is displayed at Ham House and shared at local fairs, celebrating both poetry and the changing seasons.

Introduction to: The Poetics of Book-Binding

  • More than just a craft, bookbinding is an act of rhythm, patience, and quiet discovery. The Poetics of Bookbinding is a hands-on workshop exploring the art of making books—not just as objects, but as vessels for thought, feeling, and self-expression.

Through traditional binding techniques, intuitive approaches to structure, and an emphasis on the relationship between form and content, participants will learn to create books that hold more than just words. Each session is an invitation to slow down, work with your hands, and engage with the deeper rhythms of the creative process.

Whether you’re a writer looking to bind your own words or an artist seeking new ways to house your ideas, these workshops offer a space to learn, experiment, and craft with intention.

Workshops available for individuals, groups, and organizations. If you'd like to host or attend a session, get in touch.
